Bambu Labs X1 Carbon - Mods & Upgrades

Bambu Labs X1 Carbon
- Mods & Upgrades -

The Bambu Lab X1 Carbon is already a powerhouse of a 3D printer—fast, precise, and packed with features straight out of the box. But for those of us who can’t leave "good enough" alone, there’s a whole world of mods and upgrades that can take this already impressive machine to the next level. Whether you’re chasing print quality improvements, better filament handling, easier maintenance, or just adding some personality to your setup, these hardware upgrades and 3D printable mods have something to offer.

In this article, I’ll walk through the upgrades I’ve personally tested on my X1C—from the solid feel of the BIQU Panda Extruder to the practical (and a little goofy) additions like the Poop Bucket with Emoji.

Let’s dive in and give the X1C a proper enthusiast’s treatment!

Purchased Upgrades:

BIQU Panda Extruder CNC Extruder Shell for Bambu-Lab X1C:
Benefit: This all-metal CNC-machined shell offers better heat dissipation, increased durability, and tighter tolerances over the stock plastic housing—ideal for demanding or abrasive filaments.

Upgrading and modifying the Bambu Lab X1 Carbon has not only improved my print results and workflow, but it’s also added a layer of enjoyment and personalization that stock machines just can’t offer. These mods are more than just tweaks—they’re quality-of-life improvements and little expressions of maker identity.

Whether you're optimizing airflow with a new fan duct or giving your printer a bit of attitude with a skull handle, the X1C is a perfect platform to experiment and evolve. If you've got favorite mods or prints for your own setup, I’d love to hear about them—drop a comment or share your favorites. Happy printing!
